Head of Sourcing & Supply Chain

My client are seeking an experienced Head of Sourcing & Supply Chain to join their fast-paced business in Northampton. The role will involve coaching and leading a team across global sourcing, supply chain and compliance, whilst driving change and transformation.

My client are a global blue-chip organisation, operating within supply chain.

This Head of Sourcing & Supply Chain role will be based in Northampton on a 3/2 day hybrid model.

Description

  • Develop a category management strategy for the procurement function, based in Northampton
  • Develop and lead a commercial and customer-focused team - c.4 direct reports, c.20 indirect reports
  • Sourcing and contract negotiation with suppliers (typically low cost country Inc. Far East)
  • NPD focused, ensuring top-tier products are sourced sustainably for customer
  • Ensure uniterruoted supply to the end customer
  • Keep up to date with innovation and market trends

Profile

The successful candidate for this Head of Sourcing & Supply Chain role will have strong leadership experience and qualities.

In addition, experience of sourcing within a low-cost country supply base is key. A commercially focused mindset is key, alongside strong internal and external stakeholder management skills, within a matrix supply chain operation.

Job Offer

The successful candidate will be offered c. £70,000 - £80,000 plus car allowance, c. 15-20% bonus (dependent on business performance), pension up to 12% matched and private healthcare.

This role will require 3 days per week on-site in Northampton.

In the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, you'll be fully in charge of the store, gaining valuable experience to help you take your next step in management. It means you'll tackle everything from ordering stock to training employees, and from checking product displays to delivering sales targets. Store Assistant
